Four players could make their debut for Carlton in Sunday's season opener against Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium.
Experienced recruits Dale Thomas and Andrejs Everitt have been named in the squad of 25, along with draftees Patrick Cripps and Nick Holman.
All four players have impressed in practice matches over the pre-season.
The Blues look set to take two ruckmen into the game with Matthew Kreuzer and Rob Warnock both named to play, while David Ellard looks set to return to Carlton's senior side.
Carlton's final 22 will be decided on tomorrow, ahead of an open training session at Visy Park at 10.15am on Saturday.
