Kreuzer back on track
Matthew Kreuzer joined his teammates on the track on Tuesday morning, as he continues his recovery from foot surgery.
The Blues only went through some light training drills, but it was a positive sign to see the big man back on the park.
Kreuzer has been absent since aggravating a foot injury in the Blues’ Round 1 encounter with Port Adelaide.
After missing Round 2 and subsequently struggling at training, the 25-year-old opted to have surgery on his troublesome foot, ruling him out for 12-14 weeks.
While Kreuzer looks to be making good progress from his foot injury, utility Jarrad Waite is under an injury cloud after hurting his hip in the VFL on the weekend.
Waite trained this morning despite the scare and the injury didn’t seem to hamper him.
Football operations manager Andrew McKay anticipates Waite will be right to play.
“Jarrad jarred his hip, but it’s not too serious,” McKay said.
“He needs to get through training this week but we certainly expect that he will be available for selection.”
