CARLTON’S next generation will also be on show at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.

The Northern Blues have cut down their squad of 27 for this weekend’s curtain raiser, with the first of the double-header to begin from 11:50am.

Of those 27, 16 are from the AFL list: additionally, 11 of those are aged 22 or under.

Jarrod Garlett will return to the action after being the holdover emergency last weekend, while Harrison Macreadie, Lochie O’Brien and Will Setterfield will be looking for responses after their omissions from the AFL line-up.

Patrick Kerr has been named at full-forward after his six-goal haul against Frankston last weekend, while Hugh Goddard and Angus Schumacher will hold down the fort in defence after impressive form so far in 2019.

The final side will be announced two hours prior to the bounce on Sunday.

Excitingly, the match will also be shown live on Channel 7 in Victoria.
