Former Carlton great Mark Naley hosted the Blues only official South Australian Supporter function prior to this evening's match against Port Adelaide.

Paying homage to the '87 premiership winning team, more than 150 Blues supporters attended the function at the Lakes Resort, West Lakes.

Injured Blues defender Jeremy Laidler made a special appearance, interviewed on stage by Mark about how his rehab is progressing and how the Blues are tracking in 2012.

Former South Australian and Carlton President Stephen Kernahan roused the audience with some personal accounts as his time playing with the Blues and his hopes for the current team as they embark on their mission to finish the season in the top four.

Carlton's interstate functions have become a must for non-Victorian supporters in recent years, selling out venues within a number of days.

The Blues will host their next interstate function when the team travels to Perth in two weeks to take on the West Coast Eagles.
