Ellard Elevated
David Ellard has been elevated from the Rookie List to the Primary List
The final 22 for Sunday’s game will be announced on Friday afternoon and will have a final training session at Visy Park at 10:00am on Saturday.
For Ellard, the elevation to the Primary List is reward for his persistence as well as his good form. Recruited in the 2008 Rookie Draft with Carlton’s 3rd round selection, number 38 overall, Ellard was elevated to the Primary List for a short period during the 2008 season. He played his one AFL game in round 7 in 2008 against West Coast at Subiaco in what was Chris Judd’s first game against his former side in Perth. A memorable night for Ellard, playing in his former home town, he kicked a long goal in Carlton’s victory over the Eagles.
Recruited from Guildford Grammar in WA via Swan Districts, Ellard won the Northern Bullants Best & Fairest Award last year and he was also named Carlton’s Best Clubman Award.
