THE best player in the AFL Women’s competition will be crowned tonight.

Awards season in AFLW will finish tonight, with the W Awards to take place from 7pm.

With the All Australian team announced yesterday, the 22under22 side last week and Carlton’s own best and fairest on Thursday, it’s the marquee night on the AFLW awards calendar.

All Navy Blue eyes will be on Madison Prespakis, who looms as Carlton’s best bet for the competition’s best player.

Sure to face some stiff competition from opposition clubs, Prespakis will also have to contend with the likes of Grace Egan, Kerryn Harrington and Tayla Harris among others for votes each week.

It could also be a memorable night for Egan, Lucy McEvoy and Charlotte Wilson, who are hoping to become Carlton’s second consecutive NAB AFLW Rising Star.
