PUTTING on a show for a record membership base.
That’s one thing Patrick Cripps can’t wait to do once football returns.
In an interview with Carlton Media, Cripps had a message for the 67,000 Bluebaggers who have signed on in 2020.
Acknowledging there would be “good days and bad days”, Cripps was full of gratitude for the Carlton family for the support in recent weeks.
“From our end, as a club, we love the support,” Cripps said.
“Cain said we’ve had 500 new members sign up and we haven’t lost too many.
“It shows you how passionate they are, how much they love the Club and I’ve got to thank them for that.
“It’s the same for all of us: we’re in this together.”
“I spoke to our membership team and since this whole thing started, we’ve had more than 500 people who have actually come along and joined up."

You're the best in the business, 'Baggers. ?
So often citing the energy provided by the passionate Carlton support in recent seasons, Cripps said it was a weird feeling in the season opener in front of an empty MCG.
He said he was hoping to hear Carlton fans in full voice at stadiums once again as soon as it’s safe to do so.
“The boys always appreciate our fans, but you definitely appreciate them a whole lot more when you’re playing and you don’t get that buzz when they’re cheering,” he said.
“I’ve said it a few times that when ’Newnesy’ kicked that goal in the last quarter, the crowd would have been extremely loud.
“I hope they keep cheering us on when we do play and when crowds are back, they cheer extra loud and hopefully we can put on a show for them.”
