THE Carlton Football Club was saddened to hear of the passing of Blues Forever member Thelma McLeod late last week.
A Carlton supporter through and through, Thelma unfortunately lost her battle with cancer last Friday.
She was a Blue since birth, tied to the Club through a family connection: her mother’s first cousin was Carlton Hall of Fame member, Bob Chitty.
From the other side of the world, whether it was in England or Papua New Guinea, she remained devoted to supporting Carlton throughout her life.
She furthered her dedication to the Club when she committed to the Blues Forever bequest program.
May she rest in peace.
A service of thanksgiving for Thelma McLeod will be held at St Stephen’s (26 Norwood Street, Flemington) on Thursday 15 November at 1:30pm. A private cremation will follow.
Afternoon tea will be served after the service.
