OVERVIEW
Sarah Hosking did what she’s done for four seasons in Navy Blue throughout 2020.
The No.10 was as consistent as ever for the Game Changers over the course of the campaign, once again playing every game for the season. She hasn’t missed a game since making her debut in the very first game in 2017.
Hosking performed her role on the wing with aplomb for the Blues, often getting back to provide an extra number down back while providing her trademark toughness around the contest.
She began strongly with 17 disposals against Richmond, locking down her spot and providing valuable experience around the team’s emerging young group.
It was more of the same from Sarah Hosking in 2020.
BEST PERFORMANCE
Hosking has taken to AFLW life extremely well ever since laying the first crunching hit in the competition back in 2017.
However, one thing which was an all-too-rare occurrence for Carlton’s No.10 was hitting the scoreboard.
Having kicked just two goals in 27 games prior to that, that all changed within five minutes.
Hosking kicked two goals in the opening quarter of the AFLW Carlton Respects Game against St Kilda, finishing with 11 disposals for the game.
It was a damaging performance and a contribution which was vital in a 21-point win.
SEASON HIGHLIGHT
The AFLW Carlton Respects Game marked a big week for Hosking, and all involved at Ikon Park.
The 24-year-old caught up with Simone O’Brien, a Carlton Respects ambassador, who told her story.
