Have you ever wanted to be a VIP at the football?

Well, for one lucky fan and five of her friends, this dream became a reality during the Carlton vs. Melbourne game at the MCG on Sunday 5 May.

As the Round 6 Winner of the Club’s “I AM VIP” competition, Morgana Cerqueira Alves and five of her friends, all from Brazil, were provided with access to the rooms pre-game before taking in the match from the comfy King Kahuna Bean Bags on the MCG stage.

Morgana put this once-in-a-lifetime experience into her own words below:

It was an usual Wednesday morning when I received an email notification on my phone. Opening it up I was so surprised when I realized it was an email congratulating me for winning the “I AM VIP” competition.

Entering the competition is one of those things that you do just for fun and I never imagined that my answer would win!

So on Sunday me and my 5 lucky friends left early to make our way to the MCG talking about the game and trying to figure out some more rules about AFL, since it is kind of a complicated game for international students!

Arriving there, we met the unbelievable Carlton staff that spoiled us with some Carlton treats and escorted us to the Carlton rooms where we saw the players warm up. 

Then we went to the VIP area where there were comfy bean bags for each one of us and nothing in front of our game view! IT WAS AWESOME!

I also was interviewed and could see myself on the big screen, so much fun! To make the experience even better, Carlton won the match easily! GO BLUES!
