Carlton players wore the Club’s first ever Indigenous Guernsey for Saturday’s Round 11 clash with Brisbane at the Gabba.
The jumper was specially designed by artist Emma MacNeill, who is also the partner of Carlton's Mitch Robinson.
MacNeill, who designed the guernsey during her final weeks of pregnancy with the couple's first child Chance, said every aspect of the design has a special meaning.
"The boomerang is a powerful symbol that represents a weapon men use for hunting," MacNeill said.
"And in a sense it represents every one of the players, as if they're heading out into a stadium filled with thousands of people and hunting for a victory."
MacNeill said there is also significant meaning behind the "F" in the CFC crest.
"The connecting lines in the letter F represent life and what it's like to be part of a team,” she said.
"The lines are never running smoothly and are always changing directions – this represents the wins, the losses, the good times and the bad."
Carlton is giving you the chance to own one of these beautiful guernseys through our online auction.
Each guernsey available for auction will also be signed by its respective player.
