2019 AFLW NAB Rising Star winner Maddy Prespakis is eager to make an impact in her second year with the Blues.
Playing in a Grand Final in her first year, Prespakis was aware of the workload heading into season 2020 as she sought to improve her form.
On and off the field, Prespakis has been looking for ways to better herself and the team as a whole.
“I know that I’m feeling good so I think my season could be a lot better than last year,” Prespakis said.
“I’ve worked super hard for and I feel a lot better in my body and being able to run out in the practice match was sort of a sign to show that the hard work has paid off.”
Making the Grand Final was a big step for the Blues after finishing fifth in a whole-league ladder.
“We know that we’ve done the hard yards in pre-season to really set ourselves up for this season."

Prespakis is eager to show the league that they are not fifth best and that they deserve to be among the top teams in the league.
“We’re aiming to be number one this year, not number five,” Prespakis said.
“Having that in the back of your mind does help a lot because it’s just driving us to want to be even better.”
The Blues will take on Richmond this Friday at Ikon Park, with Prespakis set to feature in the midfield.
