OVERVIEW
Having kicked 31 goals in 44 games for the Cats, Lang arrives at Ikon Park with the ability to play run through the middle and push up forward. After making his debut in 2014, the Colac local has been a consistent contributor for Geelong, playing in a variety of roles. He received a Rising Star nomination in 2015 after a breakout performance against St Kilda and was a standout in Geelong’s win against Hawthorn on Easter Monday last year. The 21-year-old predominantly played as a high half-forward for Geelong in 2017, before injury interrupted his season. In a testament to his character and desire to push for senior selection, Lang recovered in time to be recalled for Geelong’s finals campaign, starring against Sydney in the semi-final.

HE SAID IT
“I love asking questions and seeing how they deal with different situations in the game — they’re full of footy knowledge so I take as much as I can off them.”
– Lang chats to the Herald Sun in 2015 about his desire to learn as much as he can from his more experienced teammates.
WHAT WE CAN EXPECT
Lang will be an exciting addition to the Blues' line-up in 2018. As a 2015 Rising Star nominee, the young talent will be looking to make an impact in the middle and up forward as he continues to build on his game and make his mark at senior level.
Welcome, Darcy!
