The votes have been cast and the stage has been set – the only question that remains: who will be Carlton’s 2015 John Nicholls Medallist?
Carlton’s best and fairest, the John Nicholls Medal, is on this Thursday night at Crown Palladium.
Recent winners of the award include Bryce Gibbs, Kade Simpson, Heath Scotland and Marc Murphy.
Season 2015, although a challenging one for the Blues, saw the emergence of some exciting young talent, including Patrick Cripps, Nick Graham, Sam Docherty and Dylan Buckley.

It was also another consistent season for veteran Kade Simpson and captain Marc Murphy, who led from the front. Then there was Tom Bell, Andrejs Everitt, Ed Curnow and Zach Tuohy who all ran out in every game for the year.
The award’s namesake, former premiership player, captain and coach John Nicholls, was a five-time Carlton best and fairest winner.
The voting system involves five members of Carlton’s match committee who independently submit their votes after each round. Each may award a maximum of 20 votes, to be shared among the players of their choice. Committee members are not compelled to award all or any of their votes.
