OVERVIEW
After making a blistering start to his AFL career last year, and being named as one of the Blues' nominated rookies for this season, injury sidelined the Irishman throughout 2015.
‘Gussy' as he is affectionately known, had hip surgery in May after the onset of osteitis pubis, and was subsequently placed on the Blues’ long-term injury list.
We’re all hoping to see the inaugural winner of the Chris Judd Development Academy Award back on the park, fit and ready to go in 2016.

"After consultation with a specialist we decided surgery was the best course of action for Ciaran. The recovery time from something like this is generally 12 weeks, so it's likely Ciaran will be able to play again late in the season, but we'll obviously make that decision in consultation with medical staff based on his recovery."
