In 2015, Ciaran “Casey" Byrne will wear guernsey No.38. He moves up 10 in the jumper order, after wearing No.48 last season.
The 20-year-old Irishman is entering his second year at Carlton, after being selected by the Blues as a Category B International Rookie.
The No. 38 jumper was most recently worn by small forward, Jeff Garlett.
Garlett played 107 games during his time at Visy Park, and kicked a 183 goals.
