Debutant: Brad Walsh
Carlton rookie Brad Walsh will make his debut this Saturday night against Fremantle in Perth.
The 18-year-old Western Australian is a tough and pacy inside midfielder who’s continually performed in the VFL for the Northern Blues. Walsh played seven games with Peel Thunder in the WAFL and captained WA's under-18s side in 2014 before being picked up by Carlton in the 2015 Rookie Draft.
Curtain raiser:
A curtain raiser featuring some of Fremantle’s most famous names will be played Domain Stadium before the main match between Carlton and Fremantle. A round of AFL 9’s matches will start at 3.10pm and finish with a lap of honour at 4.00pm.
Each game will consist of two seven-minute quarters with multiple games running at the same time.
Among those playing is Shane Parker, Troy Cook, Brad Wira, Dale Kickett, Matthew Burton, Clem Michael and Scott Chisholm.
Gate 19 will open at the earlier time of 3.00pm.
