2015 season: After winning Adelaide’s 3km pre-season time trial, an early-season hamstring injury and Adelaide’s midfield depth limited Kerridge to just one senior game. In 12 SANFL games this year, the former Bendigo Pioneer was named in the Adelaide reserves team’s best players six times.

Best AFL performance: A clear standout was his 24-disposal and six-goal performance against North Melbourne in Round 9, 2013, which netted him two Brownlow votes and a Rising Star nomination. In just his seventh senior game, Kerridge was the catalyst for Adelaide’s 38-point turnaround to defeat the Kangaroos by a solitary point.

He said it: “I was lucky enough to have a mature body when I arrived here (Adelaide) but I work pretty hard too. I spend a lot of time in the gym and my aerobic ability is one of my strengths.”

What we can expect: Kerridge has elite aerobic capacity, strength and an instinctive goal sense in his arsenal. He has been used primarily as a run-with midfielder in his four seasons and is likely to fill the void left by the retirement of Carlton great Andrew Carrazzo.
