There was a celebration of culture, fun and football at Ikon Park today, as Carlton hosted the annual Multicultural Schools Cup.
Each year the Carlton Football Club delivers its Multicultural Schools Program to more than 1,200 primary school aged children at 11 schools in Melbourne's northern corridor.
The program culminates in the Multicultural Schools Cup, with the winner in both boys and girls divisions advancing to represent the Carlton Football Club at the Australia Post Multicultural School Program State final in October.

Carlton's Community and Diversity Manager Shawn Wilkey said the students are predominantly from migrant and refugee backgrounds across Carlton's heartland.
"In many ways these young people symbolise a key part of the next generation of Carlton supporters," Wilkey said.
"Our school programs, like today, are as much an exercise in building the health, wellbeing and social inclusiveness in our community as they are an investment in the future of the Carlton Football Club.

Carlton would like to congratulate today's winners Australian International Academy in the boys division and Lalor North Primary School in the girls division.
