As part of a re-structure of Carlton’s coaching and high performance areas, out-of-contract Assistant Coach Dean Laidley will depart Carlton to pursue other opportunities.
Laidley has thanked the Club for his tenure:
“I have enjoyed the last two seasons at Carlton, especially working closely with the playing group. The Club now has the foundations and planning in place and I know they will continue to build towards success in the coming years.
“The time is right for me to find my next challenge.”
Additionally, High Performance Manager David Buttifant will be released and his position will not be replaced, with the fitness and conditioning area to undergo a new reporting structure.
Head of Football Andrew McKay said:
“Dean and David have both been integral parts of our football club for the past two seasons. I would like to thank them both for their contributions and wish them the very best for the future.”
Coaching and high performance appointments for 2016 will be announced in due course.
