OVERVIEW
At the outset of the 2015 season, Blaine Boekhorst set a personal goal to play five games in his debut year. Twenty-three rounds later and the 22-year-old has notched up 11 matches to well and truly achieve his target.

A pacey midfielder, Boekhorst played his first AFL game overseas, making his debut in Round 4 against the Saints in New Zealand.

A breakout match against the Pies in Round 19 saw the young gun rack up 18 disposals, four clearances and kick a goal.

To cap off an impressive debut season, ‘Boeky’ was named Carlton’s Best First Year Player on John Nicholls Medal night.

HE SAID IT
“I found out on Wednesday when they said you might be in the team, but I didn’t really find out until last night that I was confirmed in, so it was a long wait!”

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
In Carlton’s Round 18 clash with North Melbourne, Boekhorst was nominated for the AFL's Weet-Bix Mark of the Year for a high-flying grab in the second quarter. Boekhorst leapt over the top of North's Nick Dal Santo to secure the mark just outside Carlton's forward 50.
