A blow for the Northern Blues, with Nick Duigan set to spend two weeks on the sidelines.

Duigan has been suspended for two matches by the VFL tribunal, after being reported for striking in Sunday's win over Coburg.

Northern Blues Coach Luke Webster says it's disappointing for the 28-year-old.

"Nick's been terrific for us and is relishing his move to half forward. He took a number of solid marks over the weekend and kicked a goal.

"This is certainly a setback for him, but I'm sure he'll take it on the chin and come back raring to go in round 18."

Duigan will miss games against Frankston and Sandringham.
