OVERVIEW
After eight seasons and 63 games in the Navy Blue, David Ellard called time on his career at the end of the 2015 season.

Like every year, the versatile midfielder continued to play with his trademark ferocity and desire for the football, which he has been known for throughout his career.

Each week there was no doubting his passion for the Blues – giving it his all every time he ran out.

Ellard was known as a true clubman and was very popular among the entire playing group.

His enthusiasm and desire to constantly improve will be missed at Ikon Park.

HE SAID IT
“It’s a tough one, I was pretty nervous coming in, but it was a good opportunity to thank the boys and the rest of Carlton footy club for everything they’ve done for me over the past eight years. It’s been a great experience, although we haven’t reached the highs as a footy club that we would have liked, I’m just forever grateful for what this footy club’s given me.”

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
In Carlton's Round 13 clash with Gold Coast, Ellard had 18 disposals, five tackles and nine contested possessions in the Blues’ third win of the season.
