Blues take to the trees
Carlton's pre-season training camp in Arizona moved to the skies on Wednesday, with the players and coaches taking part in a strenuous ropes session.
Bryce Gibbs, who moved through the various tree-topped obstacles during the afternoon, said the layout of the course was deceptively difficult.
"It started off pretty easy and we were thinking "Yeah, we'll get through this pretty effortlessly", but as we moved through we were faced with features of the course that were six stories high. It was really challenging in the end."
Asides from the physical benefits of tackling such an elaborate set-up, the session was also used as a bonding tool.
"It was good to get out as a group and do a bit of bonding. There was plenty of banter going on. We had a couple of guys who were scared of heights, so it was a good challenge for them," Gibbs said.
