Lachie Plowman and Liam Sumner are set to make their respective Carlton debuts on Saturday night when the side faces the in-form Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
Plowman arrived at Carlton at the end of 2015 after being traded from GWS. Drafted with the No.3 selection in the 2012 National Draft, the 21-year-old has played 20 games at a senior level and is set to provide further poise to the Blues’ backline.
Sumner also came to the Blues from Greater Western Sydney during the 2015 Trade Period. The speedy midfielder made his debut in 2012 and subsequently racked up another 11 games in his time at the Giants.
Michael Jamison and Mark Whiley have both been omitted from the side, while Blaine Bokehorst will miss with a hamstring complaint.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have made just one change, with former Brisbane defender Jed Adcock replacing injured captain Robert Murphy.
