Letter from a Happy New Carlton Fan

To the club,

I would just like to express my thanks for today.

I took my two young daughters to the club today to buy a jersey for my husband’s 41st birthday on Wednesday.

My daughters were so excited to know that some players were still training and to see the coach who kindly signed the jersey for us.

But when my girls first saw Chris Judd they were overly excited and he was so kind to meet them after they expressed their interest for him to sign the jersey!

I’m not a big football fan, in fact I hardly know one player to the next - except all I hear in our house is... GO JUDDY!!!!

I have been on treatment for the past two years fighting a rare form of cancer. Even though my girls know that I have been sick, and they have seen me at my worst yet, they do not know its cancer I’m fighting!

We have met players before but I was so excited today that I could not stop shaking because I knew what meeting Chris Judd meant to them, and I know my husband will be totally stoked on Wednesday when he opens his present from the girls.

Its been a hard two years for my family, but its days like today that make such a magnificent difference and mean so much to me to see my girls so happy. All the way home to Bendigo today my girls couldn’t stop giggling that they had met Juddy, dancing in their seats!!

So thanks to the coach and Chris for signing the jersey, I am now a FULL Carlton fan and plan to be present at many games this year!
