Four former Bluebaggers will pull on the boots this Friday night in support of a good cause – the annual EJ Whitten Legends Game.
The match, in its 21st year, celebrates and honours the life of the great EJ Whitten who sadly passed away from prostate cancer in 1995.
The Legends Game between the Vics and the All Stars brings together retired AFL players, comedians and celebrities from across the country.
This year former Blues Ang ‘Woof’ Christou, Anthony Koutoufides, Heath Scotland and Mick Martyn will don the Victorian jumper and put their fitness to the test.
While the rivalry is fierce between the two teams, their goal remains the same: to promote men’s health in Australia and raise funds for the EJ Whitten Foundation.
If you’d like to watch your favourite past players in action, head to Etihad Stadium on Friday 2 September – the game kicks off at 7.30pm.
