Although Tutt only managed one senior game this season, the speedy midfielder played an important role in the Northern Blues VFL side.

He ran out for Northern on 14 occasions and averaged nearly 27 possessions per game, ranking him second at the Club for average disposals behind hardnut Nick Graham.

Tutt was recalled to the senior team for Round 14’s clash with GWS. He gathered 18 disposals, including 10 kicks, four tackles and even slotted a goal.

HE SAID IT

“Coming to training with the boys and getting fit, and getting stronger, being able to beat your personal best records and things is making me always strive to get better, so that’s the best thing about training pre-season."

– Tutt talks to Carlton Media after a hard day of pre-season training earlier this year.

THEY SAID IT

“His effort to run and break the lines was important, and he continues to find a lot of the ball. There was a good intent to apply pressure.”

– Northern Blues coach Josh Fraser speaks glowingly of Tutt’s performance in the Club’s Round 2 victory against Geelong.

SEASON HIGHLIGHT

In the Round 7 win against Coburg Tutt amassed a whopping 37 disposals and kicked three goals. His 24 kicks against the Lions was a competition-high for the round.
