Blues midfielder Bryce Gibbs has won the 2016 FOX FOOTY Longest Kick with a massive torpedo across the Yarra.
Up against stars from other AFL teams, Gibbs secured his victory with a huge 72.3m effort. His first kick went an impressive 69.9m.
“As soon as I hit it, I was happy,” Gibbs said.
Gibbs pipped Melbourne’s Bernie Vince (69.2m) and Richmond’s Alex Rance (66.5m) to win $10,000 and the unique Longest Kick trophy.
“This is going to go in the trophy cabinet quite nicely, this one. It’s one of the better trophies I’ve won by the looks of it.”
