It’s a triple treat this week, as three Blues are named in AFL Media’s Team of the Week. 

Young defender Sam Docherty and midfielders Bryce Gibbs and Patrick Cripps have once again been recognised for their match-winning performances. 

In the Blues’ 20-point win over the Demons on Sunday, the trio combined for 89 disposals, with Gibbs and Cripps amassing 20 clearances around the ground.

Docherty has been placed in the backline alongside two Jeremys - Magpie Jeremy Howe and Eagle Jeremy McGovern- xwhile Gibbs has been named in the centre next to Mapgie Adam Treloar and Eagle Andrew Gaff. 

Cripps, who racked up 30 possessions, including 13 tackles and 12 clearances, lines up as a follower alongside Giant Ryan Griffen and Magpie Brodie Grundy.

Docherty and Cripps were also named in the AFL Players’ Association’s 22Under22 squad, which was announced on Monday night.
