It seems no one can resist the lure of the Old Dark Navy Blues, even the daughter of a three-time Brisbane Lions premiership champion.

Six-year-old Olivia Brown, the daughter of 2007 Coleman medallist Jonathan Brown, has remarkably decided to barrack for Carlton, much to her father’s dismay!

“I said to Olivia the Lions beat Carlton a few weeks ago and she says ‘it doesn’t matter, Carlton won earlier on in the season”,” Brown exclaimed.

When asked why she barracks for Carlton, Olivia said she “likes the colours”.

Upon hearing this delightful news, Blues captain Marc Murphy along with women’s marquee player Darcy Vescio, popped into the Nova 100 studio on Wednesday morning to surprise Olivia and ‘Browny’.

Armed with a bag of Carlton goodies, Browny’s on-air co-hosts Chrissie Swan and Bluebagger Sam Pang were more than happy to welcome Murphy and Vescio into the studio, but it was a different case for Brown.

“I’ve heard some good stories about you being a Carlton supporter, I bet your old man is a bit flat about that,” Murphy laughed.

“We’ve got a little jumper here with the No. 3 and Brown on the back so you can wear it to the footy.”

It’s fair to say after the pair's visit, young Olivia is well and truly converted and there’s no way Browny is going to be able to “retrieve the situation”.

Welcome, Olivia! You're officially a little Bluebagger. (Photo: Nova 100)
