Carlton Football Club wishes to congratulate the AFL on today acquiring management rights to Etihad Stadium. 

"Bringing the asset and the management rights back into football can only be a good thing. We will work with the AFL in due course to determine how this acquisition will in turn, benefit our club, and importantly, our members and supporters," CEO Steven Trigg said.

It is expected that the AFL will formally take over the ownership and management of the stadium as early as next month.
