The Kyabram Post Office was full to the brim on Wednesday as Blues supporters lined up for their chance to get a glimpse of some of the Carlton's stars in town for the 2012 Community Camp.

Captain Chris Judd, Kade Simpson and Jarrad Waite spent more than one hour signing autographs and posing for photos with their adoring fans.

In Kyabram and district for the AFL's Australia Post Community Camp, Jarrad Waite said all players thoroughly enjoyed the two day camp.

"It's always nice to get out of Melbourne and spend some time meeting the fans who don't often get the opportunity to see us play," he said.

"Country kids especially don't often get the same exposure to AFL that the city kids do, so we really enjoy getting into the schools and meeting with them, teaching them some footy skills and importantly about exercise and being healthy.

"While we love the football clinics it is more about meeting with the community and hopefully our visit has a real positive impact on the Kyabram area.”

Jarrad Waite meets a young fan.

Waite was one of the most popular players on the Community Camp as he was a ‘local boy from the area’, having played his junior football in Benalla a short distance from Kyabram before joining the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Under 18 competition.

The players had a jam packed two days of activities, which included school visits, clinics and other community appearances.

Midfielder Dennis Armfield spent his afternoon entertaining local kids at the Kyabram Community and Learning facility.

"Some of the kids were a little too young to understand who we were or what we do, so instead of running a clinic we just spent the afternoon in the sand pit and hanging out," he said.

Dennis Armfield and Aaron Joseph make some new friends at the Kyabram Community and Learning Facility.

"It has been all footy since we got back from Christmas break, so getting away from the Club and enjoying some country air with the kids has been a welcome break from our usual schedule of training."

The Blues returned to Melbourne on Thursday evening and will enjoy a few days break before returning to training next week. Next week’s activities include the first intra-club practice match at Visy Park on Friday February 17 and then the Carlton Family Day also at Visy Park on Sunday February 19.
