The Carlton Football Club will host the Multicultural Schools Cup today, with five primary schools set to battle it out.
Each school is fielding both a boys and a girls team in the competition, which will take place on Oval 1 next to Visy Park.
The five schools all took part in Carlton's Multicultural Schools Program during 2014, which assists migrant and newly arrived communities through playing Australian Rules Football.
AFL is the vehicle that enables Carlton to help strengthen the communities it works with and assists with social inclusion throughout the wider Australian community.
The winner of today’s competition will go on to represent the Northern Region in the State Finals.
It all kicks off at 10:30am with the final to be played at 1:30pm.
