Carlton members and supporters will be out in force at the MCG on Saturday May 2nd for the Blues away game against Hawthorn. With the Blues in action the players and supporters attending the match will not be able to participate in the Lake Mountain Marysville Bushfire Recovery Challenge being held on the morning of the match.

Cyclo Sportif Victoria is pressing ahead with plans for the this bike ride in the Marysville and Lake Mountain district which was devastated by fires earlier this year.

Carlton’s Caleb Tiller whose family property was destroyed by the devastating fires was pleased when told the event was going ahead.

“This event will not only raise funds for the community, it will provide the local towns with a chance to show how they are working together to recover. Importantly it will also encourage visitors to the area.”

The Marysville – Lake Mountain Fire Relief Ride will be held on Saturday May 2nd, with competitors able to contest either the 70 or 135 km route. Organisers will donate $25 from each entry to the Australian Red Cross.
