"Super Clinic" a big hit with students
100 international students from 36 different backgrounds were given their first taste of Australian Football last Friday.
As part of an expanding relationship between the Carlton Football Club and Melbourne University, students from countries such as the Netherlands, Mexico, China, Malaysia, Indonesia and more were given an introduction into the rules and workings of the game before taking part in a clinic on ground with a number of Carlton players.
Each of the students worked on their handball, kicking, tackling and agility skills before concluding the day with a tour of the Visy Park facilities, and the chance to fully understand what goes on behind the scenes at a professional football club.
Feedback from the clinic was fantastic with a number of students expressing an interest in staying in touch with the club and adopting the Navy Blues as their team of choice.
As part of the International Student Super Clinic program, all students who attended the clinic have also received a ticket to the Carlton vs Melbourne fixture at the MCG on Sunday 27 May and we look forward to providing them with another memorable day in their introduction to Australian Football
