Carlton’s 40,000th Member Ben Clark was treated like a rock star at the Dome on Saturday thanks to longtime Blues fan, Patrick Prendergast.

Clark became the 40,000th Member last Wednesday when Carlton players chipped in to buy him a Membership.

Through the Club’s involvement with Challenge – supporting Kids with Cancer, Ben was a guest in the rooms post training last week where he was presented with the special 40,000th Membership by Blues skipper Chris Judd.

Hearing about the story, Prendergast – a keen supporter of Challenge, bumped a few guests out of his corporate box at the Dome and extended an invitation to Ben and his Mum.

Prendergast not only arranged for a limousine to pick Ben up and drive him to and from the game, but also made sure Ben got his choice of food in the box. And of course Ben’s food of choice was . . . you guessed it . . . party pies.

Ben also had some very special visitors to the box prior to the game, with injured Blues Jordan Bannister, Ryan Jackson and Bret Thornton popping in to say hello. Club Mascot, Captain Carlton also flipped his way into the box to meet Ben.

Ben was seen leaving the Dome with a massive smile on his face after his beloved Blues got over the line against Fremantle.
