Carlton vice-captain Kade Simpson has hosted a morning tea at Visy Park to help celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.
World Down Syndrome Day is observed on Friday 21 March, with people across the globe celebrating the lives and achievements of people with Down syndrome.
The Carlton Football Club joined forces with Down Syndrome Victoria yesterday, to hold the morning tea in the Don Chipp Lecture Theatre.
Kade Simpson, who is an ambassador for Down Syndrome Victoria, was joined by fellow Blue Sam Docherty in welcoming guests.
There were cupcakes galore and prizes to giveaway, with a raffle drawn by Simpson and 16-year-old Carlton supporter Jayden Curtis.
Both Simpson and Docherty will continue their support for World Down Syndrome Day in Federation Square today, by taking part in a dance celebration with e.motion21.
They'll be joined by teammates Chris Judd, Tom Temay, Dennis Armfield, Ciaran Sheehan and Ciaran Byrne, to help deliver a fitness program which has been specifically designed for young people with Down syndrome.
