With its sights set on 75,000 members in 2020, Carlton’s surge up the membership ranks could not have started any stronger, and it’s all off the back of the incredible belief its supporters have once again displayed.

After a record-breaking 64,269 members in 2019, Blues fans have taken their support to new heights since the Club launched membership for 2020 last month.

A total of 37,108 Bluebaggers and counting have already signed up to own the future next season – a staggering 13,914 increase compared to this time last year.

The Blues will need an uplift of more than 10,000 members from this year to next if they are to reach the 75,000-member milestone. This is in line with the Club’s ultimate goal of 100,000 members by 2023 as outlined in Carlton’s five-year strategic plan.

Chief Executive Cain Liddle said there is a genuine sense of excitement and anticipation amongst Carlton people.

“The back half of this season showed us what we can expect to see in 2020 and it’s something to look forward to”, Liddle said.

“Initial membership numbers for next year indicate that our members are just as optimistic, which is a testament to the unbelievable commitment they continue to show.

 “The players and coaches know they’ve got a big few months ahead of them over the pre-season, but the belief is very much there and we certainly feel it from our members as well.”

Member packs will begin to be posted in early November, and members can expect to start receiving them from the middle of next month.

To ensure packs are received before Christmas, the Club highly recommends signing up in the next few weeks.
