AFTER a 20-year partnership, the Carlton Football Club’s apparel agreement with Nike will expire at the end of October this year.
Throughout the extensive partnership, the Club has delivered several successful retail campaigns, including the popular ‘Blueout’ guernsey launch in 2017.
A tribute to the suburb of Carlton, and in conjunction with long-standing apparel partner Nike, the Blueout guernsey took inspiration from the traditional bluestone appearance commonly discovered in heritage streets throughout the suburb.
The Blues famously ran out in the limited edition guernsey for their Round 3 clash at the MCG against traditional rival Essendon that year, winning by 15 points.
CEO Cain Liddle thanked Nike for their significant contribution to the Club and acknowledged the support provided over the years.
“On behalf of the Carlton Football Club, I’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the team at Nike for all they have delivered over the journey. To have been associated with a global brand as iconic as Nike is something the Club is incredibly proud of,’ Liddle said.
Ashley Reade, Nike Pacific General Manager said: “Nike has been the proud apparel partner of the Carlton Football Club for more than 20 years and we thank the Club, its members and fans for an incredible partnership.”
