THE Carlton Football Club has finalised its coaching structure for the 2020 AFL season, with three new faces arriving at Ikon Park.
The Club is pleased to welcome Daniel O’Keefe on board as a development coach. O’Keefe has a distinguished eight-year coaching career working with elite junior talent, during his time at the Geelong Falcons and most recently as an assistant coach with the Geelong Cats in the VFL.
In 2017 he became Head Coach of the Falcons, taking them to a TAC Cup premiership.
O’Keefe joins Henry Playfair (Head of Coaching Performance) and Luke Power (Head of Development), who were announced as additions to the Blues’ coaching staff last month.
Playfair and Power bring with them a combined 41 years of experience in playing and coaching at the elite level and arrive at Carlton with highly-respected reputations across the industry.
“The [list] demographic is one that I really enjoy working with and I feel I could make a really big impact on."

Head of Football Brad Lloyd said the Club was pleased to finalise its coaching panel for 2020.
“We have been able to really strengthen the off-field team at our football club for next year and we feel the new faces will suit our already strong coaching group,” Lloyd said.
“This coaching group is really diverse with experience across many different areas. We feel this perfectly complements our playing group and provides great support for David Teague.
“All our coaches will be pushing to get the best out of our players by maintaining high standards as we strive for consistent on-field performance in 2020.
“We have so many quality and experienced people, not only in our coaching panel but through our entire football department, which has the Club in a great position for the upcoming AFL and AFLW seasons.”
