Carlton Media has chosen its five nominations for the Mercury Hard Cider Hardest Hit of the Year, but now it's up to you to decide who wins!
Featuring in the top five are Jarrod Pickett (twice), Caleb Marchbank, Alex Silvagni and Sam Docherty.
Silvagni set the tone for pressure and effort in his Carlton debut. With the game against Sydney in the balance, his goal-saving tackle on Brandon Jack proved a match-defining moment as the Blues held on for victory.
Docherty's guile and acceleration in Round 16 earned him a nomination. With Melbourne three points ahead early in the final term, Jordan Lewis looked poised to launch another Demon attacking foray, but Docherty had other ideas.
In Round 20, Pickett achieved what very few have done this season: run down Essendon's Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti. The Bombers speedster had a four-metre buffer on Pickett, but a determined Pickett ensured that gap quickly diminished.
Two weeks later, the exciting Pickett was one of the shining lights in Carlton's drought-breaking win over Hawthorn, with his tackle to dispossess Jack Gunston bringing Carlton supporters to their feet.
Caleb Marchbank rounds out the top five with a goal-saving tackle on Richmond small forward Dan Butler in Round 14.
