The Murphys are expecting! 

The Carlton Football Club would like to congratulate captain Marc Murphy and his wife Jessie, who revealed on Wednesday they are expecting their first child in January next year.

The couple announced the news via Instagram with many Carlton supporters already hopeful of a father-son recruit a few years down the track.

The exciting news comes as Murphy enjoys a stellar 12^th season in the navy blue, leading his side for possessions with an average of 29.9 disposals per game.
