HE'S the dark-haired guy in the white turtle neck, keenly wielding a hand-held movie camera.

He appears to be aged in his 30s and is being tailed by an accomplice balancing a boom mic. Without question, he’s front and centre, filming the likes of Barassi, Nicholls and Jesaulenko, in the euphoric aftermath of the drought-breaking 1968 Grand Final victory over Essendon on the MCG.

But who is he? And where is his film?

With the 50^th anniversary of the Blues’ hard-fought win over the red and black fast approaching, the Club is desperate to make contact with the cameraman to hopefully access his precious footage. 

As the mystery man can be seen in both the Seven and Rothman’s films of that game, one can only presume he was independently capturing his own footage.

It is hoped that the film may be used in celebration of the 50^th anniversary of the Blueboys’ famous three-point victory - (7.14 (56) to 8.5 (53)) - having booted less goals than their much despised adversaries.
