Experienced defender Alex Silvagni will continue his career at the Blues after putting pen to paper on a new one-year deal.
It is the Club’s fourth re-signing since Thursday.
The 29-year-old played seven games in his first season with the Blues, providing leadership and a hard-edge to Carlton’s young defence.
His season ended prematurely in Round 17 when he sustained injured his PCL whilst playing against the Bulldogs at the MCG.
Silvagni joined the club as a rookie at the end of 2016 following 53 games with the Fremantle Dockers between 2010-2016.
He joins Levi Casboult, Matthew Kreuzer and Sam Rowe who have recently recommitted to the Blues, alongside Zac Fisher, Sam Petrevski-Seton, Charlie Curnow, Harry McKay, Andrew Phillips, Ed Curnow, Tom Williamson, Ciaran Byrne, Harrison Macreadie and Matthew Wright, who have all re-signed in 2017.
