Carlton looks set to regain Dale Thomas for Sunday’s clash against Sydney at Etihad Stadium.
Ahead of the club’s first home game for 2016, Thomas, Charlie Curnow and Ciaran Byrne have all been named in the extended 25-man squad.
Sunday’s clash against the Swans will also see defender Zach Tuohy become the first Irish-born Carlton player to reach 100 games. Young gun Sam Docherty has also been named to play and will reach the 50-game milestone when he runs out for the Blues for the Round 2 match.
Carlton’s final side will be announced on Friday.
