Carlton ruckman Andrew Phillips has returned to the Blues’ primary list after recovering from a stress reaction in his left foot.
The big man was placed on Carlton’s long-term injury list in January but avoided surgery on his troublesome foot.
Head of Football Andrew McKay said Phillips will make a long-awaited return to football this weekend via the VFL.
“It’s good news for Andrew Phillips as he will be going back to play his first game against Port Melbourne in the Northern Blues’ game on Saturday,” McKay said.
“We’re looking forward to seeing how he goes there after he’s overcome his foot injury.”
