CARLTON'S VFLW side will blood another youngster this week, with Maddie Brancatisano making her debut for the Blues against Collingwood on Saturday.
Listed as the 23rd player, Brancatisano was the captain of the Northern Knights U18 team this year and led the side to the inaugural TAC Cup Girls Grand Final.
The midfielder is one of five changes made to this week’s squad, with Tyla Hanks, Natalie Plane, Bridie Kennedy and Celine Moody also making their way back onto the park.
AFLW-listed players Jess Hosking and Sophie Li will be rested this week, while youngsters Isabella Gietzmann and Rachel King have also been omitted.
Meanwhile, Courtney Bromage has made her last appearance in the navy blue, after returning home to Brisbane to finish her studies.
Currently sitting third on the ladder, Collingwood will provide yet another challenge for the Blues this Saturday. Carlton has defeated the Pies in both season openers of the AFLW competition, but this weekend will be the first time they take to the field to battle it out in the VFLW draw.
Make sure you head down to Warrawee Park Oval on Saturday to catch the team take on Collingwood, with all the action kicking off at 1pm.
