MORE than 350 children laced up their footy boots on Monday afternoon and hit the track at Ikon Park to take part in a footy clinic for junior members.
The entire playing group was on hand to help Carlton’s littlest members refine their footy skills, with kicking and handballing drills taking place on every corner of the oval.
Running and crashing into the tackling bags, it didn’t take long for all the kids to warm up, after braving the morning chill in their Carlton jumpers and beanies.
When the clinic concluded, all the children and their families had the chance to get their footballs and guernseys signed, and get some snaps with their favourite players.
Midfielder Patrick Cripps said being involved in junior member clinics was always rewarding.
“These footy clinics are good fun. It’s great to get on the track and have a kick with the kids,” Cripps said.
“It brings back a lot of memories from my childhood and I know all the boys love seeing smiles on the faces of young Bluebaggers.”
