CARLTON defender Sam Rowe has been charged with misconduct but avoided suspension following the AFL's match review statement from the Blues' loss to Sydney on Friday night.
Rowe was cited for an incident involving Sydney star forward Lance Franklin in the fourth term.
Based on the available evidence and a medical report from the Swans, the incident was classified as misconduct, with Rowe able to accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea.
